It’s Sapp Time! (Update)

The guy running Japan-MMA has the lowdown on everything that takes place in the “land of the rising sun”, and what does he have first thing Monday morning? Some Bob Sapp action!  That’s right….looks like Bob “The Beast” Sapp will be returning to Japan for K-1 Dynamite!! 2008, where he’ll be fighting Kinniku Mantaro.  I have never heard of Manataro, so using my awesome investigative skills I ran him through google and this is what I got.:

No joke, this is all I found, maybe K-1 is going to do some CGI “battle royale” with this cartoon and the beast….I mean would you really put it past Sapp, a guy who does crap like this?

Cage Potato reported on this too, apparently some pro wrestler named Akihito Tanaka who’s been training at MMA legend Kazushi Sakuraba’s gym will put on the suit w/ hat and act as Kinniku Mantaro, and I don’t know….fight, wrestle, do something to make the crowd go nuts, which I expect they’ll do if Sapp’s in the ring with a Japanese cartoon hero.  This takes the title of “Freak Show” to the next level, bravo Dynamite!! for going above and beyond.  As of now, here’s the updated fight card for K-1 Dynamite!! 2008:
