*&^$%^$#~!!! No Live K1 Dynamite!! for US fans. Oh, LeBanner out, Manhoef in!

Just when you thought 2008 couldn’t get any crappier….they hit you with one last “F*^@ You!”. According to MMAJunkie, FEG (which promotes both DREAM and K1 events) and EventMagic.tv failed to reach an agreement that would allow the many many American fans to view K1 Dynamite!! 2008 live via an interent stream. This sucks ass, major MAJOR ass and I’m very disappointed that nothing can or will be done to allow all of us here in the states to see an event that is so rich with talent. I know what I’ll be doing instead, and that’s drinking away my sorrows and praying to the man upstairs that the videos are up the next morning at mma-core.
On a brighter note, or another crappy note depending how you look at it, Jerome LeBanner pulled out of his bout with Mark Hunt due to the ebola virus, nah…just kidding, he’s got the flu, but he really did pull out of the fight, you can read that here thanks to Japan-MMA. Stepping in for him will be none other than Melvin Manhoef, the savage striker with no ground game who destroyed the piss out of the loved Kazushi Sakuraba at DREAM.4 and then got triangled to hell by eventual grand prix winner and uber-badass Gegard Mousasi. Since his loss to Mousasi, he announced his retirement, but then a few months later, came back to beat the hell out of Paul Slowinski at K1 World Grand Prix 2008 Final. He seems to be one of those guys who sits in a cage foaming at the mouth until he’s needed to step up. Manhoef’s a scary man, but Mark Hunt is Mr. Potato Head and I’m sure he’ll be able to take whatever Melvin can dish out before getting him to the ground and armbarring him. Stay tuned for more jacked up news days before this event goes down…
